Flooring Installation — Greater Montreal

Hardwood flooring that ties
the whole home together.

Solid and engineered hardwood installation in Greater Montreal. We carry our own inventory of red oak, white oak, maple, and birch — meaning precise color coordination with your stairs, millwork, and cabinetry from day one.

Color matching — our signature advantage

Because we carry our own flooring inventory, we can match your floors precisely to your staircase treads, custom railings, or millwork. No guessing across suppliers. No mismatched tones when everything is installed. One cohesive finish, from the ground up.

Solid hardwood

Traditional ¾″ solid planks — refinishable for decades. Best for main floors and spaces where longevity and character matter most.

Red oak White oak Maple Birch

Engineered hardwood

Real wood top layer on a stable multi-ply core. More forgiving over radiant heat or concrete slabs, with the same warmth and finish as solid.

Red oak White oak Maple Birch

Red oak — warm and classic

Prominent grain with amber undertones. Works in traditional and transitional homes. The most forgiving species for color-matching across multiple rooms.

White oak — the modern choice

Tighter grain, cooler undertones. Pairs naturally with steel stringer stairs and contemporary interiors. The go-to for clean, architectural spaces.

Maple — crisp and light

Fine, subtle grain with a near-white tone. Best when the goal is brightness and uniformity. Works well in minimalist and Scandinavian-inspired interiors.

Birch — pale and smooth

Very light tone with a fine, consistent grain. Similar to maple but with a slightly softer look. Great for bright, airy interiors where you want warmth without heaviness.

01

Discovery call and site visit — We assess the space, existing finishes, and subfloor condition. If color matching is part of the scope, we bring samples to compare on site.

02

Material selection — Choose species, finish, and plank width from our in-stock inventory. We'll lay samples next to your stairs or millwork to confirm the match before anything is ordered.

03

Subfloor prep and acclimation — Subfloor is assessed and prepared. Flooring acclimate to the space before installation begins — this is what prevents movement and gaps later.

04

Installation — Precision installation with clean transitions to existing floors, thresholds, and stair nosings handled in-house. No subcontracting on the finish work.

05

Final walkthrough — We review every detail with you before we leave. Any touch-ups done on the spot.

Can you match flooring to my existing staircase or millwork?

Yes — this is one of our strongest advantages. Because we carry our own inventory in red oak, white oak, maple, and birch, we can achieve a precise color match with your stairs, treads, or cabinetry. We bring samples to the site visit and confirm the match before anything is ordered.

What's the difference between solid and engineered hardwood?

Solid hardwood is a single piece of wood — refinishable multiple times, best on above-grade subfloors. Engineered hardwood has a real wood veneer on a layered core, making it more stable over concrete or radiant heat systems. Both look identical after installation.

Do you install over concrete or radiant heating?

Engineered hardwood can be installed over concrete slabs and over radiant heat systems. We assess subfloor conditions during the site visit and recommend the right product for your situation.

Do you do refinishing or sanding?

We specialize in new hardwood installation — not sanding or refinishing existing floors. If your floors need restoration work, we can point you in the right direction.

Can flooring be part of a larger renovation project?

Yes — and it's often the best approach. Coordinating flooring with a staircase replacement, new railings, or full renovation as one project is how the most cohesive results happen. We handle all of this through our home renovation service.

What areas do you serve?

Greater Montreal — including Westmount, Montreal West, South Shore, North Shore, and the Laurentians. Service availability is confirmed based on project scope and location.
